Mumbai: Domestic violence against women in India has always been a major issue. We are a male dominated society where women find it tough to find their feet. But the violence scenario took a shocking turn yesterday in Mumbai.
A women, who lives in the Ghatkopar region with her husband, has accused him of forcing her to watch Banjo movie with him, which has caused her lot of mental stress. Banjo, the recent Ritesh Deshmukh movie, was talked about for its unique concept of Indian musicians making it large. Ritesh in fact had gone for a major make over and styling to look every bit of the musician.
But the film, as many critics have said is boring to hell. The best part of the movie was the interval. Nargis Fakhri has a side-sider-sidest role in the movie where her acting lacks everything from emotions, drama to dialogues. Ritesh single handedly tries to run the show but he’s no Sunny Deol to do so.
The women in her complaint has accused her husband of showing her many flop movies in the past one year. The list being; Action Jackson, HumShakkals, Himmatwala and many more. She added further that they are never lucky enough to get tickets for a hit movie and her husband books tickets of any flop movie without informing her.
The issue has to be tackled well as many women will take this case as an example and open up about this type of violence.
