The Republican party’s candidate for president of the United States, Donald Trump, has been under fire for his alleged scam involving Trump University. But he appears to have found support from an unlikely source; India’s Chief Conspiracy Theorist, Dr Subramanian Swamy. After alleging that RBI governor Raghuram Rajan has planted a time bomb in the financial system, and that the movie Udta Punjab was produced by AAP to cause disturbance, the former Harvard professor has a fresh theory.
Swamy said that the Congress party has sponsored the lawsuits against Donald Trump to appease the Muslims. “Mr Trump wants to ban entry of Muslims into America. Sonia and Buddhu think that they can thwart Trump and gain minority votes”, tweeted Swamy. When asked whether he would like to see Donald Trump as President of the United States, Swamy replied, “I am of two minds here. He wants to ban Muslims, which is good. But he has not affirmed his Hindu ancestry or accepted that his surname is Drumpf, and not Trump, which is unfortunate.”
Our US correspondent tracked down Mr Trump for his comments. “Dr Swamy backs me up, that’s great. I admire that man, I do. And you know what, he can get away with saying even more outrageous comments than mine. That’s what I like about him. I might even offer to make him a Supreme court judge once I am elected, since he won’t be biased against me,” said the not-at-all-racist presidential candidate.
