New Delhi/ Patna: Throwing herself into the league of at least half a dozen BJP CM-hopeful candidates, Kiran Bedi today expressed her desire to be BJP’s Bihar CM candidate. This latest interest by Dr. Bedi has thrown an already crowded group of CM hopefuls into jittery, our sources say.
“I listened to my inner-voice and felt that I can no longer sit on the fences and have to lead from the front. I truly believe in Modiji’s philosophy of Sarvjan Hitaay – Sarvjan Sukhaay (sic) and am best suited for boosting morale of our party workers in Bihar. I’ll lead my party to victory in coming Bihar elections,” she told Teekhi Mirchi.
“I already have oceans of experience in leading election campaign in Delhi, and I want to replicate that in Bihar too. If given an opportunity, I’ll do a Delhi in Bihar!,” she declared.
BJP senior leaders are cautious though. Teekhi Mirchi tried to contact Sambit Patra, but he remained tight-lipped over this latest development.
One CM hopeful Sushil Modi told this Teekhi Mirchi reporter, “We welcome her to Bihar on condition that she maintains a ‘Maun-Vrat’, because every time she speaks, we lose at least a Lakh voters.”
Our sources in BJP leaked that Amit Shah is trying to persuade her to join BJP’s Margdarshak Mandal, which is considered BJP’s
group of retirees top think tank, that includes L. K. Advani and M. M. Joshi, among other important senior leaders.
