New Delhi: Desperate to give beloved Delhiites respite from scorching heat of this summer and frequent power cuts in the capital city, Delhi BJP state unit today launched specialized helmets that keep the head of the wearer ‘cool’. BJP is planning to distribute this free of cost among above 10 million citizens of the city in order to pacify them amid rising anger against newly formed Modi government over power cuts.
Explaining the idea behind this innovation, senior BJP leader Vijender Gupta told Teekhi Mirchi, “This came to my mind when I saw a women carrying a big Matka full of chilled water on her head in our city slum. I immediately pondered – look, this lady doesn’t need fan, AC or cooler because water must be keeping her head cool. Hence we decided to invent this new device for Delhiites, which is nothing but a Matka full of chilled water.”
“People need to put this above their head upside down. A strap is attached as in helmets so as to keep it intact on wearer’s head.”, he further added.
This new innovation by BJP is received with mixed reactions by citizens and experts. While Delhi Traffic Police welcomed it saying this will bring cases of riding without helmets drastically down, people believe keeping wearer’s head cool would reduce stress levels of motorists, preventing growing cases of road-rage in Delhi and NCR region.
Union Power Minister Piyush Goel, currently facing wrath of the Delhiites due to frequent power cuts in the capital told Teekhi Mirchi, “This is going to solve power woes of the city. Instead of using cooler or AC, people can now simply chill with putting this new BJP innovation on their head. We’re expecting at least 1000 MW reduction in power demand.”
Our highly placed sources in the BJP told us that BJP is also brainstorming over replacing older “Modi for PM” caps with this new headgear, since the older one was widely believed to be a copycat of AAP cap.
